Acrodynia

Etymology:

Gr. ákros: “highest, at the extremity” + Gr. odúnē: “sorrow, grief, anguish, unhappiness” (relating to pain)

Definition:

A disease due to chronic mercury poisoning where the individual has dermatologic manifestions of dusky skin as well as painful sensations of their extremities, notably in the hands and feet.
