Etymology:
Gr. adḗn: “gland” + Gr. -oma: forming nouns indicating tumors or masses, which may be non-neoplastic or (more often) neoplastic, and (if the latter) either benign or cancerous (malignant)
Definition:
A benign tumor of the epithelium arising from or resembling a gland.
