Adrenaline, also known as epinephrine (the Greek name equivalent), is a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands (namely, the adrenal medulla), which are situated on top of the kidneys. Adrenaline is involved in the sympathetic nervous system response, also known as the "fight-or-flight response".
