Anicteric

Etymology:

Gr. an: "not" + L. icterictus: "jaundice"

Definition:

Without jaundice. The term is more specifically used when characterizing whether the whites (sclerae) of the eyes are not jaundiced, meaning they do not have a yellowish tint, which would be an indicator of jaundice caused by liver disease.
