Etymology:
Gr. arútaina: “a ladle or cup” + Gr. -eidḗs: "-like"
Definition:
Relating to intrinsic larynx musclulature and structures that form a ladle-like shape with the epiglottis and larynx (e.g., transverse arytenoid muscle, oblique arytenoid muscle, arytenoid cartilage, cricoarytenoid).
