Boutonnière

Etymology:

From French boutonnière (a small flower or bunch of flowers worn in a buttonhole or pinned to the lapel of a jacket), from bouton: "button"

Definition:

A deformed position of the fingers or toes, in which the joint nearest the knuckle is permanently bent toward the palm while the farthest joint is bent away from it. More commonly referenced as it relates to the fingers and so named because the finger is positioned as if you tried to push it through the hole of button
