Bronchus
Etymology:
Gr. brónkhos: “trachea, windpipe”, perhaps derived from Gr. brechein: "moist", so named because the lining of the bronchi is always moist.
Definition:
Either of two airways, which are primary branches of the trachea, leading directly into the lungs.
