Gr. khorós: “dance, choir”
An abnormal involuntary movement disorder, one of a group of neurological disorders called dyskinesias. The term chorea is derived from the Ancient Greek: χορεία ("dance"), as the quick movements of the feet or hands are comparable to dancing.
