Etymology:
Gr. en: "in", relating to inside the body + Gr. anthéō: “to blossom”, so named because these rashes "blossom", or break out
Definition:
Enanthem is a rash (visually manifesting as small spots) that "blossoms" on the mucous membranes inside the body (compare to exanthem), especially of the mouth.
