Manubrium
Etymology:
L. manūbrium: “handle”, so named because it represents the handle of sword-shaped sternum—made up of the manubrium, gladiolus, and xiphoid process.
Definition:
The broad, upper part of the sternum. This notch can be felt between the two clavicles.
