Etymology:
Gr. parálusis: “palsy”, from Gr. paralúō: “to disable on one side”, further from Gr. para-: "beside" + Gr. lúsis: “a loosening”
Definition:
A loss of motor function in one or more muscles (with the imagery being one part/side of the body becoming loosened).
