Phyllodes
Etymology:
Gr. phullṓdēs: “resembling a leaf”
Definition:
The botanical definition describes a flattened petiole (leafstalk) that resembles or functions as a leaf. In medicine, there is a Phyllodes Tumor, which is a connective tissue tumor of the breast, that on histology has a leaf-like appearance.
